How to Use Your Candle
Keep your candle burning bright and safe with these simple steps:
- Trim It Right: Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4" using a wick trimmer. A trimmed wick means a cleaner, safer burn.
- Let It Glow: Allow the wax to melt evenly to the edges of the jar during each use—especially on the first burn—to avoid tunneling.
- Keep It Safe: Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Never leave it unattended, and keep it away from drafts, kids, and pets.
- Take a Break: Burn for up to 4 hours at a time, then give your candle a rest. Burning too long can overheat the jar.
- Know When to Say Goodbye: Stop using your candle when only 1/4" of wax remains to prevent jar cracking or overheating.
- Repurpose the Jar: Once your candle is finished, clean out the jar and give it a second life as a planter, storage container, or decor piece!
